Hey all! Brian and I are both reading the same book, and thought others may want to join in. So we’re introducing a new segment of the blog, the MwBC Hoptellectual, a book and beer club. How Madisonian of us, eh?
This months book is St. Paul native F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Tender is the Night. I’m about fifty pages in and it’s really coming alive. I want to raise a pint to my friend Dan, a NYC reader, who recommended the Fitzgerald classic.
What to drink while you read? Well, the book itself is really heavy on the drinking, but it’s mostly high class cocktail drinks. I will probably be drinking the homebrew Brian and I made, The Sound and the Fury (a trappist pale ale modeled after Ale Asylum’s Bedlam), or something from Furthermore Beer. Three Feet Deep Stout? Yes, please.
Feel free to begin the book discussion here, or check out our discussions page on our Facebook page. And if you aren’t following us on Twitter, @MidwestBeer, what the heck are you waiting for?
